    Production SchedulerDepartment: Machine Division (MAC)Employment Type: Full TimeLocation: Waco Mfg and RebuildDescriptionThe Production Scheduler is responsible for preparing and communicating manufacturing schedules for all Value Streams systems in accordance with customer demand. In addition, the Production Scheduler is responsible for executing and managing all scheduling activities for these products by negotiating and facilitating the execution of plans, ensuring material and capacity are sufficient for production, and in collaboration with the Operations Group.The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices daily: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.Essential FunctionsModels, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.Interprets and communicates product demand into a valid production schedule and executes the schedule to meet shipment dates.Coordinates and maintains orders with production capacity and commitments through collaboration with project managers and business managers.Enters, releases, and ensures orders from start to ready to ship (RTS). Communicates order status to customers through appropriate channels and ensures product is invoiced on time.Performs Root Cause Analysis, makes recommendations and where applicable implements Corrective Action Plans for issues involving the production schedule and customer delivery.Works closely with management team and marketing, sales, operations, and engineering to identify and resolve production schedule interruptions.Manages capacity planning to meet sales and operating objectives.Tracks and reports critical KPIs.Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge in purchasing, inventory control, manufacturing engineering, operations, transportation, and/or logistics.Advanced skills in Excel and Office.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization, and communication skills.Excellent verbal, written, communication, and presentation skills.Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills.Time management and organizational skills.Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.Consulting and influencing abilities.Ability to prepare reports and maintain records.RequirementsEducation and Experience:High School diploma or equivalent required.Associates Degree in Supply Chain Management or 4 years previous production scheduling experience required.Minimum of 4 years of Supply Chain experience required.Previous Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience preferred.APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification preferred.6 Sigma or Lean manufacturing experience preferred.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneTravel: NonePhysical Requirements:Position involves extended periods in a stationary position and majority of time on production floor/environment.Role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work.Work Environment:Requires wearing proper protective and safety equipment (PPE).This job is generally performed in a manufacturing/production environment, in environmentally controlled conditions.Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity.Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.Requires dealing with unpleasant, angry, or discourteous people.Disclaimer: Please note that the above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this classification.
