    Description

    PRODUCTION SCHEDULER, STARLINK MACHINING OPERATIONSAs a Production Scheduler within the Starlink Machining Operations team, you will identify, develop, and implement tactical and strategic schedules to enable production to set and achieve manufacturing targets.The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of data analytics and manufacturing operations, with the desire and capability to take on new challenges to help enable our mission to Mars.RESPONSIBILITIESProvide tactical and strategic long range scheduling expertise to our machining operations teamCoordinate and review input from engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and business development to support and maintain master schedules for tooling components using Microsoft Office or applicable software as requiredWork across all departments to understand critical work requests ahead and behind targets to mitigate schedule impact risksWork across all departments to ensure MRP dates align with current production needsUtilize scheduling applications and other applicable tools to ensure work is scheduled and prioritized accurately and efficiently, and resources allocated appropriatelyPrepare daily work schedules, track work progress, update and communicate project critical path schedules, and advise leadership of needed adjustments to daily work activitiesSupport accuracy of internal logistics movement of critical workPush/pull work into the shop to improve lead times, reduce stagnation, and meet schedule needsUtilize production, operations planning, and engineering support to eliminate internal and external blockers to deliver product on timeRemain abreast and knowledgeable regarding applicable facilities and manpowerLead efforts to uncover root-cause and develop permanent resolution on issues found during product builds as requiredIdentify and support improvement opportunities for product yield, quality, safety, cost and team efficiencyDevelop and support efforts to streamline assigned components and automate production processes as applicableOrganize and communicate the daily priorities to the supervisor and team as requiredProvide daily visibility, weekly status, and monthly reviews on schedule performanceCreate and leverage metrics using queries and Excel to highlight shortages and determine schedule risksBASIC QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalency certificateBachelor's degree OR 2+ years of manufacturing scheduling experiencePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree4+ years of manufacturing scheduling experience2+ years of practical experience with ERP/MRP systems in a production environmentProficiency with Microsoft ExcelExperience writing queries with SQLFamiliarity with lean principles, six sigma and kaizen conceptsProject management professional certificationADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSMust be available for all shifts, extended hours, and weekends as neededMust be able to lift up to 25 lbs unassistedITAR REQUIREMENTSTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. section 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. section 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
