Description
Oxford Solutions is working with an engineering consulting client seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to support land development and infrastructure projects. This role involves managing survey projects from initial research through final deliverables, including boundary analysis, mapping, and preparation of survey documentation for agency approvals. The ideal candidate is a licensed surveyor with strong technical knowledge, project management ability, and experience working with survey and design software.
Responsibilities:
Prepare technical mapping, plats, and final drawings for agency submittals and regulatory approvals
Conduct research and analysis related to title reports, rights-of-way/easements, land title surveys, topography, and mapping
Perform boundary calculations, field support calculations, and detailed boundary analysis
Review and interpret deeds, plats, and historical mapping records
Prepare legal descriptions, easement documents, and survey plats
Manage survey projects including scope, schedule, and budget oversight
Monitor project financial performance including revenue, margins, bill rates, and utilization
Coordinate completion of legal and contractual documentation related to survey projects
Address scope changes, pricing adjustments, and project issues as they arise
Support client communication and maintain strong working relationships
Qualifications:
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Pennsylvania required; licensure in surrounding states preferred or ability to obtain within one year
5+ years of experience in land surveying including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, subdivision plats, land title surveys, and construction surveying
Strong understanding of boundary establishment methods and survey analysis
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Carlson Survey required
GIS experience preferred but not required
Ability to manage projects independently and develop client relationships
