Job Description

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Drafting Designer to support the design and development of engineered system modules and equipment solutions. This role is responsible for designing simple to moderately complex systems, adapting existing engineered products, and producing technical drawings and documentation that meet customer requirements, quality standards, and operational efficiency goals.

The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering teams, sales personnel, manufacturing, and end users to develop customized solutions while ensuring accuracy, quality, and project timelines are maintained.
Key Responsibilities

• Design simple to moderately complex engineered systems and equipment layouts.
• Adapt and modify existing engineered system modules to meet customer requirements.
• Create and revise technical drawings, layouts, and design documentation.
• Interpret engineering specifications, customer requirements, and project objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and project teams.
• Support sales engineering efforts by providing technical drafting assistance.
• Develop detailed design packages for fabrication and manufacturing.
• Ensure designs meet quality standards, performance requirements, and efficiency objectives.
• Review and update existing drawings and design documents as required.
• Maintain design records and project documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support during project execution.
• Assist with design improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Associate Degree, or equivalent technical training.
• Experience creating technical drawings and design documentation.
• Proficiency with CAD drafting software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, or related field.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or engineered systems projects.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, or similar design software.
• Knowledge of engineering design principles and drafting standards.
• Experience creating Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Experience working with engineering change processes.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and fabrication processes.
• Experience supporting project-based environments.
