Description

This position will serve as the primary office point of contact for students and prospective students, parents, and the community with a focus on student financial account inquiries. Serves as One-Stop point of contact to provide needs assessment and centralized enrollment support.

Examples of Duties

  • Processes admission applications and all student documents including high school transcripts, unofficial college transcripts, and chargeback requests.

  • Serves potential and current students with the enrollment process by providing front counter, chatbot, text messaging, email, and phone support

  • Supports operations utilizing various online solutions such as customer relations management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

  • Provides student support for online accounts (i.e. Atlantic Cape Connect, Self Service, Buccaneer E-mail, Blackboard, etc.)

  • Provides consumer information on a one-to-one basis regarding Financial Aid eligibility and verification requirements, program information, and budget components

  • Assists students with completing the FAFSA/ HESAAs alternate application and Self Service Financial Aid Checklist

  • Assists students with billing inquiries and offers instruction on making payments via Self Service

  • Provides students with guidance to navigate the college enrollment experience

  • Acts as student liaison across college departments

  • Assist students in scheduling virtual academic advising appointments if requested.

  • Ensure that placement scores, SAT/ACT or multiple measure scores are submitted and recorded

  • Responds to requests and refers students to institutional resources

  • Assists new students with course selection and registration

  • Assists with arrangements for outreach and Recruitment to attend internal/external events

  • Assists with the preparation, setup, and coordination of events.

  • Provides support for events on and off campus (i.e. high school visits, college fairs, open houses)

  • Performs related duties as assigned

Typical Qualifications

Education:

Associate degree

Experience:

  • Experience working in a Higher Education setting preferred

  • Experience working with Ellucians Colleague management information system preferred

Competencies and Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent ability to communicate in written and oral form.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Superb customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred

Supplemental Information

Terms of Employment:

  • This position requires flexible scheduling to include evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape locations.

  • Possession of a valid New Jersey drivers license and access to reliable transportation.

  • This is a part time position requiring up to 26 hours per week

Paid sick leave in accordance with NJ Sick Leave Law

Defined Contribution Retirement Program (DCRP)

Eligible part-time employees will be enrolled into the DCRP (Defined Contribution Retirement Plan) pension. Employees contribute 5% of their base salary and the college contributes 3% of base salary. Investment options are managed through Prudential Retirement. Life insurance benefits through DCRP are payable to the beneficiary at 1.5X the members salary.
