Patient Population:

• Respiratory high acuity pts: Asthma, COPD, Pneumonias, CF, Pleural Effusions, Bipaps
• Rapid Response Patients transferred from other floors
• No surgeries

 

9ET-Trauma Progressive Care

Bed Base:

• Private-26

Patient Population:

• Trauma and acut care surgery patients
• Cardiac and medical overflows
• Telemtry including cardiac and insulin drips

 

8ET- Cardiac Progressive 2

Bed Base:

• Private-14
• Semi-10

Patient Population:

• Cardiac, CHF, Chest Pain, Arrhythmias, Syncope
• Cath Lab Post Procedures

 

7ET- Cardiac Progressive 4

Bed Base:

• Private-17
• Semi-15

Patient Population:

• Designated Heart Failure Unit
• Open Heart pts before surgery
• Pre & post cath. Pts, pacemaker/ AICD pts CIWA pts, GI Bleeds, Altered mental status pts
• Surgeries: Pre & Post heart Cath, pacemakers, AICD, Cardioversions, Ablations

 

5ET-Cardiac Neuro Med-Surg Unit

• Care for complex patients: stroke, post-craniectomy, spinal surgeries, lumbar drains, Cardiac monitoring/interventions (ensure Stroke patients’ cardiac comorbidities are being appropriately managed) Cardiac drips, Stress tests, Cardiac Caths, Cardioversions, Ablations, Pacemakers and carotid stenting

8CYT Cardiac Acute Care Unit & Remote Telemetry

Bed Base:

• Private-28
• Semi-8

 

Patient Population:

• Cath lab post-procedure patients many of whom have A-lines and temporary pacemakers as well as some med-surg telemetry patients.

• Coronary Stents, Mitral Clip Insertion, Watchman Procedure, Cross Septum Ablations,

• Congestive Heart Failure, Myocardial Infarctions, CAPD/CCPD

• Temporary Transvenous Pacemakers, Permanent Pacemakers, Venous/Arterial Sheaths, Pre-open Heart Patients

• The Cardiac Transport Nurses, Code Blue Nurses, and the Remote Telemetry room are also part of our floor.

• Unit Surgeries: Post procedure patients, mainly from Cath lab with some coming from IR

 

 

7CYT Cardiac Progressive 3 Cardiac Thoracic Step Down

Bed Base:

• Private-28
• Semi-8

Patient Population:

• Post-op open heart
• Thoracic surgeries, Cardiac Intervention Unit
• Chest Tubes
• Pacers, Central lines, Insulin gtts, TAVR, Vascular Surgeries
• Temporary Pacemaker, Epicardial wires, high volume pain unit- PCA pump, epidurals, tube feedings

 

 

5NW Medical Short Stay

Bed Base:

• Private-2
• Semi-16

Patient Population:

• Post-op open heart
• Average length of stay 48hrs so fast past environment. Wide variety of diagnosis.
• Neuro/Cardiac/GI
• Respiratory/Uro/Renal

 

 

Salary Details:

Hourly rate is determined by years of worked experience as an RN, education level, and internal equity within organization. Minimum rate starting at $33.50, max of salary range is $52.00. In addition to hourly rate, if candidate holds an approved certification position qualifies for certification pay of $1.50.

 

Required Qualifications:

- Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
- Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.

Required License and Certs:

BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License
