    Description

    Nassau Candy is a premier importer, manufacturer, and distributor of specialty confections, fine foods, and promotional products.We are currently seeking a Replenishment Specialist to ensure an optimal supply of inventory of specialty food products to meet customer demand.ResponsibilitiesPerform replenishment buying for perishable products.Run inventory usage reports and determine replenishment needs.Analyze inventory levels versus current order activity, trends, and market demand.Develop promotional and sales strategies with Gourmet Foods Buyer.Obtain all key information provided by vendors for each item purchased, including UPC codes, weights, pallet configurations, pack sizes, prices, deals, lead times, shipping methods, product handling requirements, promotions, and terms.Responsible for food safety and communicating potential food safety issues.Liaison with Sales on products, promotions, and special offerings.May perform other duties and participate in other projects as required by the department.RequirementsBachelor's Degree preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing in the manufacturing or distribution industry.Knowledge of gourmet and specialty food products preferred.Knowledge of Inventory Control procedures.Highly detail oriented, strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skills.Excellent problem-solving skills.Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and busy work environment.Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.).Working knowledge of ERP systems.PerksCompetitive Pay.Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, as well as AFLAC and Pet Insurance.Vacation, PTO, and Paid Holidays.401(k).Employee Discounts.Family-oriented company culture, business casual attire.Excellent opportunity to join a well-established and thriving Long Island company!We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
