As the first and last point of contact, the cashier plays a key role in creating a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, answering questions, and ensuring smooth checkout operations. This position is located at our Blaine store and will be part-time.What You'll Do* Greet and assist customers in a positive and professional manner as they enter the store and throughout their visit.* Handle cash, credit and debit transactions accurately on the store's Point of Sale system and balance the cash register at the end of shift.* Assist with inventory stocking, organization and rotation.* Cleaning, maintenance and general upkeep of the store floor.* Operate and maintain all company equipment and report workplace hazards, injuries and incidents to store leadership in a timely fashion.* Promote company sponsored incentives, promotions and Reward Programs.* Assist customers with inquiries and effectively resolve any issues that may arise.* Other duties and special projects as assigned.Skills & Experience* Seeking candidates 21 years of age or older.* Previous cash handling experience is preferred.* Demonstrates a positive attitude, enthusiasm for acquiring new skills, have effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to follow Company policies and directions and understand and abide by Local, State and Federal laws pertaining to the sale of alcohol and tobacco products.* Be able to lift up to 25 pounds to a height of at least 4 feet with or without reasonable accommodation and stand for prolonged periods of time throughout the day.* Maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality record including being available for shifts throughout the store operating hours.Benefit Highlights* 401(k) - 4% retirement account match.* Days Off - Employees will accrue 1 hour of PTO for every 40 hours worked.* May be eligible for year-end bonusAdditional InformationColeman Oil Company participates in E-Verify to confirm the employment eligibility of all newly hired employees.
