**RN Internal Seasonal Contract (14-16 wks) - Patient Flow & Capacity - Day/Night**

Job Summary:

Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.

Required Qualifications:

Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
-Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.

-Require current NIH Stroke certification

-Require current ACLS 

-Require Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross? 

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.

Preferred Education:

BSN: Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Required License and Certs:

BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License

Preferred License and Certs:

ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Work Days/Shift/Start Time:

16-week contract start dates will be available in November and December 2026, and January 4, 2027, with contracts ending in March or April 2027, depending on the selected start date.

January 18, 2027 is the final contract start date and will be a 14-week contract ending April 25, 2027.
