Technical Sales - Internal / Account Manager
Power Transmission & Heavy Material Handling
Location: East coast / Carolinas
Role Overview
This role provides technical and commercial support to existing customers and drives incremental growth in the USA power transmission chain market. This role serves as a key link between customers, external sales, engineering, and operations, ensuring accurate quoting, technical confidence, and responsive account management across chains, sprockets, and heavy material handling applications.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical sales support to an established customer base, with a strong focus on distribution and end users.
• Serve as a primary technical and commercial point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring timely responses, follow-up, and customer satisfaction.
• Support the external sales team with estimating, pricing, and quote generation, including complex or engineered applications.
• Prepare and issue quotes for all JKC customers as required, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and alignment with company standards.
• Provide application guidance and product recommendations across power transmission products, including roller chain, engineered chains, heavy drag chains, sprockets, and related components.
• Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and operating conditions to recommend appropriate solutions.
• Participate in customer Teams calls and presentations, often presenting technical solutions to multiple stakeholders (engineering, maintenance, purchasing).
• Coordinate internally with engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing to resolve technical questions, lead times, and application challenges.
• Support field activity by conducting site and customer visits when required, including troubleshooting, application reviews, and relationship building.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, quote tracking, and opportunity pipelines to support forecasting and account planning.
• Proactively identify upsell, cross-sell, and replacement opportunities within existing accounts.
Required Experience & Skills
• Experience in power transmission and/or heavy material handling, including chains and sprockets (roller chain, engineered chain, heavy drag chain experience preferred).
• Proven ability to support distribution partners, OEMs, and end users across standard and engineered chain applications.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to evaluate operating conditions and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Advanced working knowledge of Excel, including costing exercises, margin analysis, and structured quote development.
• Demonstrated experience preparing accurate, competitive quotes for both standard and engineered products.
• Ability to interpret customer drawings, specifications, and operating data to support pricing and technical decisions.
• Comfortable operating in a remote environment while remaining highly responsive and organized.
• Confident communicator, capable of supporting Teams calls and technical presentations with multiple customer stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and commercial awareness.
