The Director of Sales plays a critical role in developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, building and leading a high‑performing sales team, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders including Pulpdent's dealer‑distribution partners. The Director of Sales reports directly to ownership.Essential FunctionsDevelop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share across the North American territoryLead, coach, and mentor a team of sales professionals to drive performance, exceed sales targets, and deliver exceptional customer serviceEstablish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, dental practices, distributors, and industry influencers to drive brand awareness and loyaltyIdentify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships and market expansions, to drive business growth and profitabilityCollaborate with cross‑functional teams, including marketing, product development, operations, and customer service, to ensure alignment with the company's strategic plan, customer needs and market trendsProvide strategic input and insights to senior leadership on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform product development and business strategyDevelop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to track progress and drive accountabilityResponsible for on‑site product/sales training for new regional managers and continuous training of sales personnel including co‑travelEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in business administration or related field required, MBA or advanced degree preferredMinimum 8‑10 years of experience cultivating relationships in the dental industryDental sales field experience required; sales team management experience preferredProven track record of success with hands on management and an ability to lead, motivate and inspire sales team to achieve sales goalsDemonstrated ability to execute strategic sales plans including new product launchesExcellent analytical and quantitative skills with ability to utilize data to identify insights and problem solvePossess a strong understanding of the current market and clinical applications of dental materialsFamiliarity with group practices and experience with DSO salesExperience working cross collaboratively internally and with dental dealersIn depth familiarity with Customer Relationship Management softwareStrong organization, presentation and collaboration skillsExperience organizing/executing national sales meetings preferredWork Environment & Physical DemandsWillingness to travel 30‑50% of the timeAttend regularly scheduled dental meetings across the USAbility and experience working remotely, managing remote teamOther duties as assignedOther duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.PULPDENT® is an equal opportunity employer.
