JOB DESCRIPTION
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Shall hold a high school diploma.
- Shall be a competent typist with minimum typing speed of 55 wpm. and must be able to file in an efficient
and accurate manner.
- Job experience as a secretary or data processor and/or graduation from a recognized school of secretarial
skills.
- Proficient in the use and application of Skyward, Word, Excel, Internet and Intranet access, etc.
- Must be able to keep information confidential.
- Must possess exceptional organization skills; be well organized, capable of meeting deadlines and working
under pressure.
- Must be self-motivated, accurate, dependable and able to perform duties without supervision.
- Must be able to interact with students, colleagues, professional contacts, parents and the public in a friendly,
courteous manner. Ability to work under pressure and coordinate the collection and processing of data in a
timely and accurate manner.
- Ability to handle pressure situations calmly and competently.
- Ability to adjust to work situations requiring on-going adaptability to changes and improvements.
- Must show a desire/willingness to do other than routine assignments-work beyond the "call of duty."
- Submits ideas, suggestions for departmental improvements to the Assistant Principals.
REPORTS TO: High School Principals
WORK SCHEDULE: School calendar - plus an additional two (2) weeks before school starts in the fall and
one (1) week at the end of the school year.
GOAL: In all ways, assist the High School Principals with the efficient operation of the office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform the following tasks:
- Truancy/Tardy Reports: Parent notification, Referral coordination with Assistant Principals.
- Bus & Suspension Letters
- Parent Teacher Conferences Coordination
- Copiers - supplies and maintenance
- Student Discipline Records
- Good News (for the Board Office)
- Guest Teacher Coordination
- Homework Requests for Absent Students
- Credentialing Plan Printouts/Reports
- Lost and Found
- MEAP, MME, PLAN Testing (assists counseling secretary)
- Parking Permits - students/staff
- Payroll - Guest Teachers/Misc. Staff
- Receptionist (1st Floor Office - Main Entrance)
- Visitor Check-In
- Registration (Fall)
- Assist with Teacher Check Out
- Support Assistant Principals with projects
- Lost and Found
- Other Duties as Assigned
