    Senior Accountant (Accounting Operations)

    The Role

    Santa Monica, CA | Hybrid (approximately 50% in-office, 2–3 days per week)

    We're hiring a Senior Accountant (Accounting Operations)—a strong technical accountant who wants to expand into systems, process improvement, and operational impact.

    This role is roughly 75% accounting, 25% operations. You'll own key areas of the close while helping redesign workflows, drive automation, and modernize how accounting operates. If you naturally question inefficiencies, think in systems, and are excited about leveraging AI and automation to transform finance workflows, this role is for you.

    What You'll Own

    Financial Accounting & Client Reporting

    • Support and own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close in accordance with GAAP
    • Prepare and review reconciliations, journal entries, and flux analysis
    • Ensure accuracy of revenue recognition, client reporting, and payout processes
    • Strengthen internal controls, documentation, and reporting processes
    • Support audits and partner with external tax advisors (income + sales/use tax)

    Accounting Operations & Systems

    • Identify inefficiencies across accounting workflows and help redesign them
    • Drive automation, system improvements, and process standardization
    • Leverage AI and modern tools to improve speed, accuracy, and visibility
    • Build scalable, repeatable processes to support growth

    Cross-Functional Partnership

    • Partner with Sales, Operations, and Product to align financial and operational workflows
    • Help translate financial data into insights that support decision-making
    What You Bring
    • 4+ years of accounting experience (High-growth startup operators preferred)
    • Strong GAAP foundation with hands-on close experience
    • Demonstrated interest in process improvement, systems, or automation
    • Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
    • Experience with tools like Stripe, QuickBooks Online, Ramp, Notion, or similar
    • Familiarity with AI tools, with a strong interest in applying them
    • Working knowledge of sales/use tax is a plus!
    The Perks
    • Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000 + Bonus + Equity
