Description
Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant role involves leading and guiding a team of skilled accountants in managing Cookware's Accounts Receivable and Payable functions. This position is crucial in maintaining financial operations for customers and vendors, including tasks such as invoicing, collections, and vendor payments. The Senior Accountant will serve as a central point of contact for the Finance Department, sharing information, results, and strategies with relevant stakeholders. They will be expected to prioritize quality, accuracy, and timeliness while adhering to accounting policies and deadlines. Key responsibilities include:
Managing customer invoicing, cash applications, and collections.
Handling internal and external customer inquiries.
Assisting with monthly closing and reconciliations.
Communicating across departments about chargebacks, accruals, budgeting, etc.
Processing vendor invoices, coding, and approval flows in compliance with internal controls.
Supporting cash planning, payment processing, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Assisting with financial audits.
Addressing ad hoc requirements as needed.
Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including V-lookups and Pivot Tables. Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 5+ years of relevant accounting experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and attention to detail. Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently. Comfort dealing with ambiguity and working independently. Self-starter with exceptional interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft D365 F&O is a plus.
