    • Work with the Engineering Manager to establish, enforce, and improve electrical design standards, change control processes, and documentation requirements.
    • Take full ownership and responsibility for assigned projects from concept through completion.
    • Identify performance issues on new and existing equipment, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
    • Actively participate in brainstorming and whiteboard sessions for new designs and provide constructive critique of existing designs.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, software, and controls engineers.
    • Perform or assist with equipment and material testing and validation studies.
    • Perform additional duties as required.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
    • 5 to 7 years of experience in the industrial automation industry.
    • Strong knowledge of current electrical technologies and applicable codes and standards (UL, CSA, CE).
    • Working knowledge of major PLC and control platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, B&R, or similar systems.
    • Solid understanding of electromechanical relationships within complex automation systems.
    • Experience contributing to and improving engineering procedures and standards.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Excellent technical aptitude with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Comprehensive understanding of code compliance requirements and industry standards.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively in a team environment.
    • Experience working in or closely with machine shop environments is a plus (welding, milling, turning, sheet metal).
    • Knowledge and experience with 3D CAD software, with Autodesk Inventor preferred; SolidWorks or similar tools also acceptable.
