    Description

    Senior Piping Designer (CADWorx)

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Piping Designer to join our client's team in Portland, OR. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a highly skilled professional with strong CADWorx experience and a background in industrial piping design. In this role, you will take ownership of design efforts, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to high-quality project execution.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Independently develop and model piping systems using CADWorx
    • Lead portions of project scope, ensuring quality and adherence to design standards
    • Coordinate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams
    • Provide technical input on operability, constructability, and model quality
    • Interpret and work from P&IDs, vendor drawings, and engineering documentation
    • Support workshare execution and collaborate on project estimating and change management
    • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and organization of models and drawings
    Required Qualifications
    • Associate's degree in Design Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • 10+ years of piping design experience in industrial environments (Oil & Gas, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or Semiconductor)
    • Proficiency in CADWorx, with at least 3 years of recent hands-on experience
    • Strong understanding of piping specifications, materials, equipment interfaces, and layout principles
    • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and technical documentation
    • Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight
    • Strong communication and coordination skills in a multi-discipline environment
    • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and quality
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field
    • Experience working in semiconductor facilities
    • Familiarity with pipe stress considerations and their impact on routing and support design
