Description
A large and prestigious business management firm seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to join their dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Staff Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing data, and providing insights to supportdecision-making within the Business Management department. The ideal candidate will collaborate directly with divisional leaders, lead client meetings, and have years of experience in Financial and Tax Accounting. You will serve as a key contributor to the team, have advanced knowledge of accounting principles, and possess excellent analytical skills. You are a leader who embraces teamwork while partnering effectively with all project stakeholders. The selected candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:
Oversee financial statements preparation and analysis.
Supervise accounting processes and procedures.
Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Review and approve journal entries.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Prepare tax packages.
Provide guidance and support to junior staff.
Lead client meetings.
Develop and implement financial controls.
Analyze financial data and prepare reports for the Partners.
Identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
Communicate effectively with government agencies relating to client tax notifications received.
Review and correct financial statements and general ledgers.
Qualifications:
AgilLink experience
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
Experience with financial modeling and forecasting
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Competency in reading and recording Brokerage accounts
Ability to work with complex financial data and perform data analysis.
Knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial reporting requirements
Ability to prepare client meeting packages.
Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders.
Education and Experience Requirements
Four + years of accounting and business management experience.
BSc/BA in business management, accounting, finance, or relevant field: MSc/MA, CFP and/or CPA is a plus.
Extensive knowledge of CCH systems.
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Advanced knowledge of Entity Income Taxation
Advanced in Individual Income Taxation
Payroll Knowledge
Entertainment experience is a plus.
