Express Employment is seeking a site logistics coordinator for a steel fabricator. Job duties include:
- Coordinating the delivery and storage of materials, and monitoring inventory levels
- Ensuring that equipment is delivered, maintained, and efficiently utilized; scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed
- Developing and implementing site logistics to optimize flow of materials by managing organization of storage areas and loading/unloading zones
- Acting as a point of contact between suppliers, subcontractors, and construction team and addressing and resolving any logistical issues that arise onsite
- Ensuring that all logistics activities comply with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular inspections to maintain safe working environment
- Maintaining accurate records of material deliveries, equipment usage, and other logistical activities, and preparing reports for project management
- Working closely with project managers and site engineers to align logistics with project timelines and requirements
- Experience with construction site logistics, materials, equipment, and processes
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office
- OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications required, and company will assist in getting certifications once hired if needed
- Knowledge of safety regulations in construction industry
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb onto steel loads to take inventory
- Degree in logistics, construction management is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
- Pay rate is $25/hr.
- Position is temp, possibly temp to hire
