(Last year over 1,100 staff members celebrated their fifth season or more at Deer Valley).Ski perks (vary based on employment status) may include Deer Valley season pass, free skiing or riding at other Alterra Resorts and select local Utah resorts, friends and family ski discounts, free staff ski lessons and discounted rentals (winter staff only), subsidized meals at Employee Dining Rooms offered for staff while on shift, subsidized housing options available for seasonal full‑time staff, discounts for staff members at restaurants, shops, and service providers in Park City, healthcare options are available for staff members, 401k plan with company match.Purpose of Position A Level I Ski Patroller must constantly monitor and evaluate Deer Valley Resort's ski terrain with an emphasis on safety.Responsibilities Administer first aid in a professional and timely mannerPerform lift evacuations as neededPerform skier safety education, including speed control, and enforcing the responsibility codeConduct snow surveys and snow stability tests using explosivesAssist with mountain set up, tear down, and maintenancePlace and maintain mountain signs, rope lines, snow fences, and paddingMaintain ski runs by side slipping and/or shovelingPerform crowd control at lift mazes, day lodges, and race venuesPick up trash on the mountain and retrieve items dropped from the liftAssist guests looking for lost equipmentAttend 2+ CME hoursOther duties as assignedQualifications Current OEC or EMT certification and completion of OEC refresherCurrent CPR certificationAdvanced skiing ability – able to transport a guest in a toboggan down any Deer Valley area in any snow conditionAble to operate a snowmobileMust be in good physical condition with the ability to consistently lift 50lbsDates of Employment Winter 2026-27Position Type Full TimePay Rate Pay: $24.50 per hourDeer Valley Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
