    Title:

    • SkillBridge Only * Senior Operations Coordinator- Government Asset Management (GAM) - Multiple Locations

    Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR!

MUST BE ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY AND ELIGIBLE FOR THE SKILLBRIDGE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM.

    PROGRAM SUMMARY

KBR's Government Asset Management (GAM) organization safeguards U.S. Government property and supports engineering, procurement, production, IT, and program teams across aerospace and defense programs. This DoD SkillBridge internship is for transitioning service members within 180 days of separation (with commander approval). Participants remain on active‑duty pay/benefits while training full‑time with KBR; release is mission‑dependent.

Who this is for (military‑coded): Soldiers (e.g., 92Y, 92A, 920A/PBO), Airmen/Guardians (Accountable Property Officer/Property Custodian), Sailors (LS/Supply), and Marines (3043 Supply Admin/Ops) with hands‑on property accountability, inventories, GFP handling, and procurement/documentation. Your experience with hand receipts, cyclic/sensitive inventories, FLIPL (DD Form 200), and APSRs like GCSS‑Army or DPAS/ELMS maps directly to GAM.

What you'll learn on the civilian side: How your military property/accountability skillset converts to contractor responsibilities under FAR 52.245‑1 (the 10 Government Property Outcomes), how PIEE (WAWF/iRAPT) & the GFP

Module drive custody, transfers, and plant clearance, how to build compliant procurement files (RFP/RFQ, market research, fair‑and‑reasonable), and how to prepare audit‑ready evidence for internal reviews and DCMA Property Management System Analyses (PMSAs).

    JOB SUMMARY

Title: Senior Operations Coordinator (SkillBridge Intern)- Government Asset Management (GAM)

Work Arrangement: On-Site- Positions available in Tempe, AZ, Torrance, CA, Clearwater, FL

Operate like a unit‑level supply/property lead-now inside a defense contractor. You'll support the 10 FAR 52.245‑1 outcomes (acquisition, receiving, records, inventories, reports, utilization, maintenance, subcontractor control, relief of stewardship/disposition, and closeout) while learning how these map to contractor policy, evidence standards, and audit trails. You will process GFP activity in PIEE (GFP Attachments, receipts/shipments/transfers, plant clearance) and see how IUID custody updates occur. You will also learn the procurement side: crafting RFP/RFQ packages, conducting price analysis/market research, negotiating schedules/specs, and maintaining compliant files tied to SOW and contract clauses.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Property Accountability: Execute records management and cyclic/sensitive inventories analogous to PBO/APO duties; reconcile counts, update custody, and maintain auditable evidence across the 10 FAR 52.245‑1 outcomes.
    • GFP & PIEE Operations: Build/validate GFP Attachments; process contractor/Government shipments and receipts; support plant clearance cases and understand IUID registry touchpoints via the GFP Module.
    • Loss & Liability Documentation: Assist with loss investigations and DD Form 200/FLIPL‑type documentation in the contractor context to support relief of stewardship.
    • Audit Readiness / DCMA: Help prepare artifacts for internal reviews and DCMA PMSA surveillance; draft corrective actions and close findings.
    • Procurement Integration: Draft RFP/RFQ packages; perform market research and fair‑and‑reasonable determinations; coordinate with suppliers on pricing, delivery, specs, and terms tied to contract requirements/SOW.
    • Systems & Data: Learn SAP basics (WBS setup, reporting, validation) and see how commercial tools (e.g., AssetSmart/eQUIP) interface with property and procurement workflows; connect these to DoD APSR concepts you know from DPAS/ELMS/GCSS‑Army.
    • Continuous Improvement: Participate in Kaizen/RCCA/Gemba efforts to reduce cycle time and strengthen controls across property and procurement processes; document measurable improvements for audits.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Active‑duty Service Member eligible for DoD SkillBridge.
    • U.S. Citizenship.
    • Education/experience: Bachelor's + 3 years OR HS diploma + 6 years in supply/logistics/property/procurement or related.
    • Military‑coded background such as 92Y/92A/920A (PBO), AF/USSF APO/Property Custodian, Navy LS, or USMC 3043 with documented accountability and inventory leadership.
    • Hands‑on with hand receipts, inventory programs, and loss documentation (DD200/FLIPL).
    • Familiarity with an APSR or logistics system: GCSS‑Army, DPAS/ELMS, or similar.
    • Exposure to PIEE/WAWF/iRAPT or willingness to learn GFP Module workflows.
    • Strong documentation discipline; able to maintain compliant files tied to contract/SOW.

    • Procurement exposure: RFP/RFQ build, market research, and fair‑and‑reasonable price analysis.
    • Continuous improvement credentials (e.g., Kaizen, RCCA, Six Sigma) applied to supply/property processes.
