    Design Engineer - SolidWorks - Lynnwood, WA - OCT24

    Our client in the North Seattle area is seeking an experienced SolidWorks Design Engineer to join their team in developing mechanical components for the aerospace industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, modeling, and optimizing various aerospace mechanical components, ensuring they meet strict industry standards for quality and safety.

    This is an onsite, direct hire role based in Lynnwood, WA

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of aerospace mechanical components using SolidWorks.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, testing, and quality assurance, to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
    • Modify and improve existing designs based on testing feedback and engineering reviews.
    • Prepare design documentation, including technical reports, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and engineering specifications.
    • Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality and precision of fabricated parts.
    • Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solution
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers, along with internal and external customers and key stakeholders
    • Ability to work well in a team environment, fostering collaboration and cooperation among team members

    Required Qualifications & Skills

    Demonstrates good problem solving skills and critical thinking

    • 5+ years of experience with 3D modeling Solidworks preferred

    • Working knowledge of standard business software (MS Office Suite)

    • Ability to meet plan delivery deadlines when assigned

    • Experience in aerospace products,materials and properties, design criteria and release processes
