Description
Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $45 to $55 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate monthly financial closing tasks like managing accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Participate in annual financial audits, collaborating closely with external auditors
- Contribute to internal control development and maintenance
- Support the Controller in overseeing manufacturing and inventory accounting for accurate cost allocation and valuation
- Assist in developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification or actively pursuing
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Previous aerospace and defense industry experience
- Collaborative and well-organized
- Experience in Cost Accounting or Government accounting a plus
