This is an opportunity to promote a positive shopping/donor experience, enhance customer service, problem‑solving and teamwork skills, while contributing to the success of our Program and its participants.EMPLOYEE BENEFITS OFFEREDOpportunity for career growthPaid time offMedical, Dental, and VisionWellness Program IncentivesRetirement PlanOptional benefits, including Pre‑paid Legal Service, AFLAC, Pet InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee Store DiscountsGreat Work Perks Discounts (Amusement Parks, Museums, Services, and more!)Employee Referral BonusesPOSITION SUMMARYAs our enthusiastic and hardworking Store Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):RESPONSIBILITIESPartner with the Store Manager in the day‑to‑day operation of the store, including opening and closing procedures, point of sale operations, inventory management and rotation, ARC merchandising standards, and donations.Assume responsibility for all day‑to‑day store operations (including personnel and cash handling duties) in the absence of the Store Manager.Assist the Manager to monitor and analyse key performance indicators to drive store sales and increase profitability as projected by budget and goals set by Command Retail Directors and Command Administration.Schedule store employees, coordinate daily morning and shift‑change team meetings, and maintain accurate payroll records.Help with hiring, training, and coaching of all store employees.Communicate personnel issues and performance results with the Manager; issue disciplinary warnings, conference reports, employee evaluations and performance results as needed in coordination with HR and District Sales Manager.Ensure high levels of customer and donor satisfaction through excellent service and maximize the customer experience.Support Back Room Processing, ensuring processors/warehouse associates meet daily processing goals.Supervise and report on program beneficiaries when Work Therapy Assignments are in place.Protect store currency, inventory, and property; handle safe funds and daily bank deposits.Secure the building during non‑operating hours.Maintain safety measures consistent with ARC policy and governmental regulations; assist with Weekly Store Meetings and ARC Monthly Safety Meetings.Transfer or relocate to other stores based on business needs.Complete all tasks assigned by District Sales Manager, Command Retail Directors, and Command Administration.QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 2 years retail management/supervisory experience (thrift preferred).Basic understanding of office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Valid driver's license, MVR clearance, insurance proof, and access to motor vehicle.Pass background check (Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry).Effective communication skills with management, employees, customers and donors.High School or Equivalent (required)Driver's License (required)PHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.Ability to grasp, push, pull, and move various objects such as file cabinets, merchandise carts, and hand trucks.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks.PAY RATE$18.40 per hourSCHEDULEWork schedules are determined by management; employees must be flexible to ensure adequate coverage.Full‑time employees may be scheduled to work any shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.This is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
