Powered by UC Irvine, UCI Health serves 5.6 million people across Orange County, western Riverside County, and southeast Los Angeles County through excellence in patient care, research and medical education.Your Role on the TeamPosition Summary: Functions as specialist, providing purchasing and inventory management support to a specific area of hospital inventory supply/equipment. Duties include supply chain operations and logistics functions such as receiving, distribution, picking, put‑away, product delivery and par/point‑of‑use replenishment and stocking as well as input of patient charges as directed. This position also is responsible for working with departmental end users/customers, ensuring an effective and streamlined supply chain.Required QualificationsWhat It Takes to be SuccessfulMust have 1 year of previous job‑related experience managing a multiple product inventory (SKU) and stock procurement systemMust be available to work overtime, weekends, and a rotating schedule to meet operational needsMust be able to perform heavy manual tasksMust be able to perform basic mathematical calculationsMust be able to effectively communicate, read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in EnglishAbility to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of hospital MMIS systemKnowledge of UCI policies and proceduresInventory management experience in a hospital, clinic or similar environmentLicenses And CertificationsDriver's LicenseEducation—Total RewardsWe offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
