This is an opportunity to lead surveying and construction projects while mentoring teams and making a direct impact on land development and infrastructure projects. What You'll Do
Lead and mentor survey staff and field crews.
Manage surveying and construction staking projects from planning through completion.
Oversee project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
Review and prepare survey documents, including boundary surveys, topographic maps, ALTA/NSPS surveys, land title surveys, as-built surveys, and subdivision maps.
Coordinate project submissions with city, county, and regulatory agencies.
Support construction staking calculations, survey data processing, and field operations.
Perform boundary analysis, closure calculations, legal descriptions, and exhibit preparation.
Communicate with clients, contractors, engineers, consultants, and public agencies.
Manage team scheduling, workload distribution, and project priorities.
What You Need
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification.
5+ years of surveying and mapping experience.
3+ years of management or supervisory experience.
Experience supporting private land development and public works projects.
Strong understanding of California surveying regulations and municipal standards.
Experience with construction staking calculations, cost estimates, boundary analysis, and legal descriptions.
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Carlson Software is preferred.
