    WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT
    • The ideal candidate is an ambitious, high-energy business development professional who is comfortable spending meaningful time in the field, meeting customers, building trust, organizing market information, and creating opportunity flow.
    • This person should be mature enough to credibly represent the company with senior stakeholders, but hungry enough to actively build a market from the ground up. The right candidate will be self-led, organized, persistent, personable, and capable of learning a specialized electrical infrastructure business quickly.
    • This is not a passive relationship management role. It requires initiative, discipline, follow-through, and the ability to turn fragmented market activity into a visible, measurable pipeline.

    THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
    • 3-7+ years of experience in business development, sales, account management, construction, infrastructure, engineering, public-sector contracting, or a related field.
    • Familiarity with public bidding, RFQs/RFPs, procurement processes, capital improvement programs, and government-funded or owner-funded infrastructure projects preferred.
    • Experience working with or selling to engineering firms, general contractors, municipalities, DOT agencies, airport authorities, port authorities.
    • Strong relationship-building, communication, presentation, and follow-up skills.
    • Proven ability to develop new relationships and convert them into qualified opportunities.
    • Comfortable using CRM systems to manage leads, qualified leads, opportunities, contacts, activities, and sales forecasts.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general business communication tools
