Position Overview

Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center is seeking an experienced Certified Anesthesia Technician for a 13-week travel assignment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading healthcare system, supporting anesthesia providers in a fast-paced inpatient surgical environment while ensuring the availability, functionality, and safety of anesthesia equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain anesthesia machines, monitoring equipment, and related devices.
• Assist anesthesiologists and CRNAs before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Set up and stock operating rooms with anesthesia supplies and medications according to protocol.
• Perform equipment troubleshooting, cleaning, testing, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to support efficient surgical workflow.

Schedule

• Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• 8-Hour Shifts
• 40 Guaranteed Hours per Week
• Every 3rd Weekend Required
• No On-Call

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Anesthesia Technician experience
• ASATT Certification (Required)
• BLS Certification (AHA)
• Demonstrated ability to independently perform the duties of a Certified Anesthesia Technologist
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment, sterile technique, and operating room procedures.
