Job DescriptionWe are immediately hiring a Traveling Supply Chain Operations Specialist for our Supply Chain Solutions division at Ryder.Position can be based out of Novi, MI, Lansing, MI, Fort Wayne, IN, Arlington, TX, Spring Hill, TN, Toledo, OH, or other locations as needed.Travel Requirements90% travel.Pay & EmploymentPay Type: Exempt / Salary paid twice per monthTarget Salary: $55,000 - $62,500 per yearSchedule: Monday-Friday, weekends as needed. Additional compensation paid for additional days.Flexibility: Need to work weekend days and 90% travel.Experience Preferred: Automotive manufacturing materials management/movement.BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision Benefits start at 30 Days401(k) Savings Plan with company matchDiscounted employee stock purchase optionsQuality employee discounts on tools, cars, appliances, travel, and moreAll major holidays paid and paid time off within first yearUp to 12 weeks paid maternity leaveSummaryDoes not manage warehouse or driver team members.Essential FunctionsCommunicate daily/shift goals of facility and work group(s).Assist with and train hourly, SNE or other specialists.Lead and initiate employees through in-depth training and continuous review of policies, procedures and processes.Decision making for location activities including demand planning, supplier calls, customer interactions, specialized process troubleshooting.Support and aid in the development of system and process training for employees.Identify and solve operational issues with accounts by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.Additional ResponsibilitiesMay serve as a floater to complete all Supply Chain Ops Associate roles across multiple shifts.Perform other duties as assigned.Skills and AbilitiesEffective communication, verbal and written, with employees, peers, and management.Strong organizational, follow-up, and computer skills.Ability to work self-directed with minimal supervision.Ability to manage individual performance and employee relations.Use sound judgement when information is incomplete or ambiguous.Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) intermediate preferred.Material Handling Equipment (MHE) intermediate required.OSHA intermediate required.DOT and Hazmat (based on account) intermediate preferred.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.One year or more in logistics, warehouse, or industry-related field required.One year or more supervisory experience preferred.WMS intermediate preferred.MHE intermediate required.OSHA intermediate required.DOT and Hazmat intermediate preferred.Compensation InformationMinimum Pay Range: $55,000Maximum Pay Range: $62,500Eligible for annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on level and type.Equal Opportunity EmploymentRyder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
