As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. The team develops and operates enterprise-scale Operational Excellence platforms that provide trusted, real-time visibility into business and technology operations across Walmart. By transforming fragmented data into actionable dashboards, intelligent reporting, and AI-powered insights, the team enables leaders to make faster, more informed decisions while improving reliability and reducing operational risk. Working across frontend platform engineering, data pipelines, analytics, automation, and emerging generative AI technologies, the team delivers high-impact solutions used by executives, engineering organizations, and business stakeholders. What you'll do:

• Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and ongoing support.
• Write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple programming languages, driving the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD and automated testing.
• Integrate AI and machine learning components to enhance software intelligence and leverage generative AI tools to improve development velocity.
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and defect management to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance.
• Build and maintain responsive, accessible front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
• Design, develop, and support RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Express.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, database schemas, and database migrations to support scalable and high-performing application features.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience in software development, with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and Java.
• Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to drive innovation and improve development efficiency.
• Strong experience building responsive, accessible front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Strong SQL expertise, including writing optimized queries, designing database schemas, and managing database migrations.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization frameworks, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, and session-based authentication.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
