The User Experience Designer has a strong understanding of interaction design and is charged working with the UX Lead and Senior UX Designers to create visualizing design models, use-case scenarios, content inventories/outlines, sitemaps, and wireframes that are used by our design and development teams to provide a clear roadmap of features, structure and flow. Your previous experience as an interaction or web designer is a critical foundation to your roles as a UX Designer, where you will:
Work closely with the UX Lead to create UX artifacts including wireframes, prototypes, information architecture, flow mapping and other supporting documentation that clearly and persuasively demonstrate the UX strategy for new projects;
Work closely with clients and internal team members; articulating project goals and approach within wireframes and prototypes;
Translate strategy and requirements into intuitive interactive solutions;
Work on multiple projects simultaneously;
Work with design and development team members while pushing for interaction design solutions that champion end-user needs;
Understand what is necessary to communicate early-stage concepts and what is needed to create strong interaction solutions.
Work in office, as well as on-site at client locations. The User Experience Designer has excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills. You are able to present wireframes/prototypes, diagrams, and user flows to both team members and clients. Your experience enables you to work well within Agile project development environments.
Required skills:
4-6 years experience in a UX position, or as an interaction or web designer role;
Experience in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, prototyping tools like Axure or InVision;
Experience in Mobile-First design techniques;
Understanding of current capabilities of mobile devices.
Understanding the capabilities and limitations of common web/interactive technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as responsive design techniques and approaches;
Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Desirable skills:
Familiarity or comfort working in an Agile development environment;
Ability to rapidly prototype using low-fidelity tools (pen, paper, post its, card stacks etc);
Experience with usability testing tools and processes;
Comfort working in an open and collaborative environment;
Belief in the importance of creating excellent customer experiences.
Need to see a portfolio of work. Needs to have UX Designer, User Experience Architect, Information Architect or like title with 4-5 years cumulative experience.
