Vegetation PlannerJob DescriptionInspect and assess vegetation in the right-of-ways for compliance standards and construction work plansCommunicate the reasons and benefits of utility vegetation line clearance to property ownersNotify property owners of vegetation clearance work to be performedAssist with permitting for DOT, railroads, and municipalities etc.Travel to assist across all regionsHandle customer complaints related to the scheduled work and/or completed pruningCheck trees for hazard or danger potentialCommunicate daily with the foresters, contractors, and general publicDocument information for vegetation management program using GIS based softwarePerform duties in a manner that will promote and maintain good public relationsAssume other duties and responsibilities as assignedJob QualificationsMust have solid tree identification skills and ability to read mapsMust have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong problem solving abilities, the ability to multi-task and attention to detailMust be able to work alone, outdoors in various weather conditions and terrainExperience working with data collection devices and GIS softwareBachelors or Associates in Forestry, Arboriculture or Horticulture a plusInventory or surveying experience a plusISA Certified Arborist qualification or able to obtain within 6 monthsSafe driving historyAble to operate 4x4 vehicleMust be able to work alone in an outdoor field environment; vehicle and foot patrol of utility transmission power lines; remote locations as well as urban, city environment; physical demand and travel from site to site.Individuals with a disability who desire a reasonable accommodation can contact the ADA Coordinator by calling 1-833-222-3066.
