    Description

    Position SummaryThe Warehouse Specialist supports daily warehouse operations at a designated distribution center or cross-dock facility. This role works alongside and provides guidance to a team of Warehouse Associates to ensure operational goals are met. In addition to performing core warehouse functions, the Warehouse Specialist supports Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes, helps maintain accurate inventory records, and partners closely with the Operations Manager, Warehouse to drive efficiency, accuracy, and team performance.Ethics & ValuesProblem SolvingCustomer FocusDrive for ResultsFunctional/Technical SkillsManaging & Measuring WorkTimely Decision MakingAction-OrientedLearning on the FlyPerseveranceComposureEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Operates all material handling equipment in a safe mannerWorking with different departments to meet demands of the businessCommunicating any issues to the supervisor that can arise from loading and unloadingKeeping up to date with new systems and technologyParticipate in daily inventory processes, auditing and researching discrepanciesDemonstrate reliability and commitment to punctualityEnsuring timely reporting of loads/returns compliance within industry fair standards and the agreed upon communication mechanismParticipate in goal setting and taking accountability for resultsEnforce company compliance standardsSupport an environment that fosters open and positive team communicationEnforce location safety management plansDemonstrate reliability and commitment to punctualityPerform other duties as assigned (may vary based on client requirements)Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent preferredExperience with leading a team to goal achievement, prior supervisory experience a plusAbility to prioritize and organize work, along with strong follow-up, analytical, problem‑solving, and sound decision‑making skillsAbility to effectively communicate in both verbal and written forms with team members and management.Ability to work overtime (as needed) to meet operational and customer demandsAbility to maintain performance in a fast‑paced environmentCapability to multi‑task with excellent time‑management skillsPreferred QualificationsTwo (2) years or more of experience in logistics, warehouse, or industry‑related field preferredPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
