AWG offers comprehensive services to our customers around the world, including cable management, cable engineering and design, supply chain management, emergency services, and more.The Warehouse Specialist will work a first shift schedule daily following the guidelines set for the by Shift Supervisor. The WS will follow standard operating procedures and will comply with the warehouse safety procedures, dress code and attendance policies.Core ResponsibilitiesReceive, store, select, pack, and ship wire and cable inventory (COILS, REELS)Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse.Comply with company attendance point systemMove material within the facility with RF scannersOperate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon safely and in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers' instructions and company policies.Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all Company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections.Receive incoming material in accordance with company processes, accurately identify and break down the material, note discrepancies, and make the product ready for storage.Store and locate product in accordance with company processes within facility.Stage product for shipment and loading via LTL or Flatbed trailers.Accurately select, check, and pack orders following designated company processes for shipment, weighing, manifesting, palletizing, and loading.Sort and pack LTL and truckload shipments in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and carrier requirements.Consolidate inventory as needed; follow company procedures for handling stock discrepancies.Participate in company inventoriesOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED"Safety is Number 1" attitudeAmbition: will ask questions, will take notes, and will show interest in learning new things, once tasks assigned have been masteredWork Ethic: dependability, punctuality, and willingness to have a good relationship with othersAbility to read and understand written/verbal instructions and to accept coaching as neededPositive Attitude: we are looking for candidates who want to learn, have fun, and do an excellent job at work with their team membersMechanical Skills: ability to fix equipment preferredPeople Skills: builds strong relationships with colleagues at all levelsAbility to maintain calmness under pressureFamiliarity with measuring equipmentBasic computer skills: Microsoft productsAbility to lift 50 lbs. or more; the ability to stand, be mobile and physically able to manage and transport materials during 8‑hour shiftOther duties as assignedBenefitsAWG provides competitive salaries and hourly compensation.
