    Job area: Terminal/Warehouse/TransportLocation: Clarksville, TN-870 Steel Stock RdDivision: SolutionsJob Posting Title: Warehouse Team Lead - C ShiftShift: Sun.-Thurs. 10:00 pm - 6:30 amTime Type: HourlyPOSITION SUMMARYThe Team Lead has general responsibility for coordinating and overseeing all operational activities assigned daily. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Lead oversees associates dedicated to warehousing, receiving, and shipping in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. Associates are expected to meet company objectives in performance, safety, and quality and comply with all policies.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTraining ResponsibilitiesMentor and train new and existing associates in specific distribution activities to help achieve established customer demandsTrain associates on current Standard Operating Procedures, including shipping, receiving, picking, and quality controlAssist in forklift operation and certification for new and existing associatesShipping/Receiving ResponsibilitiesOversee and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with productivity levels. Verify required paperwork with drivers and ensure all products are properly counted.Efficiently and accurately load orders according to the appropriate doors and trailers.Process all shipping/receiving/picking functions as defined by SOPs.Research discrepancies that may occur in the shipping and receiving process.Customer ServiceAlways conduct yourself in a professional manner in appearance and communications.Communicate with customers telephonically, electronically, or in person.Prepare required activity reports accurately and efficiently for site management.Quality Control ResponsibilitiesUse appropriate documentation to ensure all product and/or orders are received or shipped correctly and accurately picked.Verify products and/or orders meet quality standards, report any damages or discrepancies, and perform packaging tasks such as stacking, shrink-wrapping, and labeling.Process all quality control functions as defined by SOPs.Report inconsistencies and/or problems to the Operations Supervisor or Manager.Participate in quality meetings.Safety, Housekeeping, and ComplianceKnowledgeable and compliant with relevant ISO standards impacting the position, department, and company.Execute all safety protocols and promote safety in all job tasks.Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and assist in security.Comply with all SOPs, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS standards.Participate in safety meetings.Labor ManagementDirect warehouse work team operations to achieve objectives.Assist associates and temporary labor in completing productivity sheets and capturing hours.Assist Supervisor in maintaining a productive workforce level.Participate in establishing work schedules.Ensure schedules are correctly implemented and jobs are assigned and completed appropriately.Assist Operations Supervisor in ensuring associates handle products according to quality procedures.Responsibility and AuthorityParticipate in department meetings.Initiate action to prevent non-conformities related to product, process, and quality system; identify problems; recommend solutions.Bring all non-conformities immediately to the Quality Department.Equipment OperationEquipment used can include: sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, AisleMaster, or pallet jack.Associates are responsible for upkeep of equipment and reporting problems.Inspect and perform minor maintenance on forklift or other equipment daily.Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.Maintain an active forklift certification.MaintenancePerform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.Other DutiesMay perform clerical and administrative tasks as guided by site management (e.g., answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting visitors, filing, record keeping).Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.Work overtime as dictated by business.Perform other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneMINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED.1 year experience working in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment.Ability to operate MHE.Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures ranging from mild to moderate.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional DesignationsCompletion of a forklift training program.Computer SkillsBasic computer skills.RF scanners.WMS functions.Language SkillsEnglish (reading, writing, verbal).Mathematical SkillsBasic to intermediate level to verify quantities, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.Other SkillsStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and timely job completion.Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.Effective communication with all levels of the organization.Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS2–4 years experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment.2–4 years proven forklift experience.Current or prior MHE certification.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementDSV is an equal employment opportunity employer.
