Consultants work one-on-one with campus writers at all stages of the writing process, create and offer presentations on writing-related topics, and research center services.Prerequisites:Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program at least half timeCompletion of first year writing requirements and at least one disciplinary writing courseGPA of 3.0 or betterAvailability to work at least two semesters after the semester of hire because training takes several weeksWillingness to work at least five (5) hours per weekAbility not only to write well but also to coach others on their writing without doing the work for themIn addition to students who are strong communicators, we seek flexible , collaborative , empathetic active listeners who facilitate learning and model effective writing practice .a competitive hourly ratepaid training and professional development that will transfer into other professional settingsresearch and innovation opportunitiespublication opportunitiesrewarding academic work that enhances consultants own writing acumen and improves their employment prospectsRequired Application MaterialsTo be considered for this position, you must meet the criteria listed in the job description AND submit the following:#J-18808-Ljbffr
