External Communications

  • Develop content for the WCS EU LinkedIn account and other communication platforms as appropriate, in collaboration with relevant Europe-based and field colleagues.
  • Liaise with WCS field staff implementing EU, French, German and UK-funded projects to curate and coordinate approval of stories for WCS EU communication channels.

  • Maintain and organise the WCS Europe communications database, including audio-visual materials, photographs, infographics, event registration lists, press releases, publications and other relevant communications resources.
  • Support the implementation of communication and visibility activities arising from opportunities identified by WCS and the WCS Europe Team.
  • Design visual communication materials, including brochures, infographics, carousel cards, and newsletter banners to promote WCS and WCS EU initiatives, awareness campaigns, EU funded projects, events, workshops and conferences.
  • Ensure all communication materials comply with WCS and donor branding guidelines and communication requirements.

Internal Coordination and Communications

  • Coordinate internal meetings across the WCS Europe Team, including the associated meeting logistics where required.
  • Support the development, formatting, and distribution of the quarterly WCS Europe internal newsletters.
  • Liaise with the WCS Communications team based in New York to coordinate external communications activities across global and EU communication channels.
  • Maintain and regularly update the WCS EU office and other relevant organisational contact lists.

About Company

The Wildlife Conservation Society, founded in 1895, has the clear mission to save wildlife and wild places across the globe. Our story began in the early 1900's when we successfully helped the American bison recover on the Western Plains. Today, we protect many of the world's iconic creatures here and abroad, including gorillas in the Congo, tigers in India, wolverines in the Yellowstone Rockies, and ocean giants in our world's amazing seascapes.

Since our founding, we have forged the power of our global conservation work and the management of our five parks in New York City to create the world's most comprehensive conservation organization. We currently manage about 500 conservation projects in more than 60 countries; and educate millions of visitors at our five living institutions in New York City on important issues affecting our planet. Our parks include: the Bronx Zoo, New York Aquarium, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo and Queens Zoo.
