Provides leadership and coordination to the instructional, operational and administrative program activities at an assigned campus for students enrolled in the Dallas County Juvenile Justice Charter School (DCJJCS), to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures and all mandated federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Management Scope: Supervises Assistant Campus Administrators and manages approximately twenty-five (25) exempt and non-exempt staff, and accountable for two-hundred plus (200+) students daily.Education, Experience and Training:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Education Administration, Business Administration, or in a job related field of study. Three (3) years of work related experience in a teaching environment.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Texas state teacher certification preferred. Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Knowledgeable of management principles and practices. Requires successful completion of an extensive background investigation. Mandatory drug test prior to and during employment.

Develops, implements and monitors campus improvement programs, plans and implements campus objectives for each of the Academic Excellence Indicators.
Monitors student testing, counseling and transitioning to and from DCJJCS.
Confers with staff to advise, explain, or answer procedural questions and visits classrooms to observe teaching methods, review instructional objectives and examine learning materials.
Assists with budget preparation and monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with budget guidelines and fiscal control.
Interacts with students and/or parents to address concerns and mediate issues between teachers and students.
