The Banking & Treasury SAP Architect will serve as the primary SAP Services representative for Customer Business and IT counterparts. The architect will bring trusted expertise across treasury process design, SAP product roadmap, clean-core governance, AI and innovation, and cross-party orchestration ensuring the program is positioned for scalable rollout across subsequent releases and additional business units.

DESIGN SCOPE:
The Banking & Treasury Architect's advisory scope will encompass the end-to-end corporate treasury and banking operations landscape, including payment processing, bank connectivity, cash and liquidity management, financial risk management, and in-house banking.

Solution scope for current release S/4HANA PCE 2023: APM-IHB (Advanced Payment Management / In-House Banking), MBC Connector (for integration with Multibank Connectivity & SWIFT network), Cash Management, BCM (Bank Communication Management), and TRM (Treasury and Risk Management).

The Banking & Treasury Architect's advisory scope spans two tiers of engagement. In the leading tier, the Architect will influence end-to-end design - driving process design decisions, Clean Core guidance, SAP point-of-view, and Design Authority alignment. In the supporting tier, the Banking & Treasury Architect actively contributes to the following cross-functional design elements while primary ownership resides with other workstream leads. In both tiers, delivery and implementation remain the responsibility of customer and the System Integrator.

KEY CONTRIBUTIONS WITHIN THE DESIGN AUTHORITY MODEL

Trusted Advisory to All Three Parties
Serve as the SAP Services Banking & Treasury point of contact for Customer Business and IT leads as well as System Integrator counterparts.
Advise on business risk, trade-off decisions, and strategic implications of key Banking & Treasury design choices.
Facilitate access to SAP Line of Business experts (including MaxAttention) when specialist depth is required beyond the Banking & Treasury Architect's scope.

Design Quality and Clean-Core Governance
Attend and contribute to Banking & Treasury design workshops and cross-functional integration sessions providing the SAP point-of-view on process best practices, solution options, and clean-core compliance across APM-IHB, Cash Management, BCM, MBC Connector, and TRM.
Articulate SAP's position at Design Authority on key Banking & Treasury decisions.
Advise on trade-off decisions, deployment sequencing, and Big Rock planning to protect the long-term scalability, regulatory compliance, and supportability of the solution.

Product Roadmap and Innovation Alignment
Provide guidance on the SAP product roadmap across APM-IHB, Cash Management, BCM, MBC Connector (SWIFT integration), and TRM ensuring customer's design decisions are aligned with the direction of S/4HANA PCE and adjacent SAP capabilities.
Lead the integration of AI-powered capabilities within the treasury domain and identify automation opportunities within the Banking & Treasury process landscape.
Identify opportunities to adopt upcoming standard capabilities ahead of subsequent waves, avoiding design decisions that conflict with delivered SAP innovation in areas.

Product Gap Facilitation and Escalation
Identify, document, and prioritize Banking & Treasury product gaps encountered during design.
Facilitate communication of perceived product gaps to SAP Product Engineering through appropriate channels, with clear documentation of business impact, affected scope items, and desired resolution.
Advise the program on interim workarounds and risk mitigations while product gaps are being resolved, ensuring program delivery timelines are protected.
