Tutoring Specialist – School-Based Position

Position Title: Tutoring Specialist

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM until the end of the school day

Pay Rate: $55.00 per hour

Location: School-Based

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Tutoring Specialist to provide academic intervention and individualized support to students in a school setting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in literacy development, reading remediation, special education, and supporting students with disabilities. The Tutoring Specialist will work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to help students achieve academic success and meet their educational goals.


Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions.

• Deliver targeted reading remediation and literacy interventions.

• Support students with diverse learning needs and disabilities.

• Implement evidence-based instructional strategies to improve academic performance.

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.

• Collaborate with educators and school staff to develop individualized learning plans.

• Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.


Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess certificates and/or documented training in the following areas:

• Special Education

• Students with Disabilities

• Literacy

• Reading Remediation


Preferred Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience working in K-12 educational settings.

• Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet individual student needs.

• Knowledge of evidence-based literacy and reading intervention programs.


Compensation

• $55.00 per hour

• Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM until the end of the school day.
