Job Details:

• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
• 6-9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Holiday requirements apply
• Call or standby requirement determined by Nurse Manager
• 12-bed ICU unit with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain
• Required to titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized drips
• Respiratory therapy support available 24/7 with equipment including CPAP, BiPap, high flow, and ventilators
• Required to read own telemetry strips using Phillips monitors
• Charge nurse takes patient assignments; no nurse aides on unit
• Hospitalist in-house support available
• May be asked to float within Zone 1 facilities or into other acuity levels including PCU/Stepdown and MS-Tele
• May be asked to take low acuity holds within the ICU
• Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
• Charting system: EPIC
• Critical care experience required
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
