SALARY: Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule, plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation. Harrison County Professional Salary Schedule EMPLOYMENT: 200 days FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: Assists classroom teachers in the identification of eligible students by participating in grouping/placement meetings; providing assessment results; distributing, collecting and compiling teacher checklist forms for selection of students for Title I services Delivers Title I reading and math instruction to identified Title I students as described in the county and school Title I project and based on student need Provides instruction in class or pull-out based on student need and best practices Diagnoses student needs by administering assessment and evaluation instruments identified in the Title I project Identifies student strengths and weaknesses based on assessment and evaluation data Prepares lesson plans for Title I identified students Effectively implements all required components of the county and school projects Maintains accurate, complete records as required by law, county policy, and Title I regulations. Submits records and reports within the timeline established by the Title I office Works collaboratively with classroom teachers to meet Title students' needs Works collaboratively with classroom teachers and principals (or designee) to prepare a workable Title I teaching schedule based on students' needs Assists in transition of students from home to school, from grade to grade, from the Title I program to the classroom, and to new programmatic levels Plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates the school parent involvement program in collaboration with the principal or principal's designee, as described in the law and in the county and school projects. Participates in parent-teacher conferences in collaboration with classroom teachers Demonstrates professional growth by participating on a regular basis in staff development on best practices, seminars, workshops, research group, study groups, etc. Models best practices in appropriate classroom situations Attends all county and school-level Title I meetings Develops school-level Title I projects in collaboration with the principal or principal's designee.
