  • Job Summary

The Vendor Compliance Analyst reports to the FSQ Audit and Vendor Compliance Manager and supports the day-to-day execution of Boar's Head vendor compliance and FSQ oversight activities. This role is responsible for the daily monitoring of the QMS portal for customer feedback and quality events, triaging and assigning items for internal and external follow-up, and ensuring timely, accurate documentation workflows. The analyst also supports document control activities by reviewing and approving pending documents per established requirements, assists with trend analysis and reporting to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities, and contributes to special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned by the FSQ Audit and Vendor Compliance Manager. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, sound judgment, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of service to internal partners and external vendors.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow up on customer feedback reported to ensure our current inventory isn't compromised.

  • Regularly review and analyze customer feedback portal for trends by product category, complaint type, seasonal trends, etc.

  • Follow up with document requests by supplier(s) as needed for supplier approval, desk audits, supplier risk analysis review, etc.

  • Communicates with co-manufacturer(s) via CAR module for action and collaborates with local team on closure.

  • Manage audit schedule for facility approval audit, first production audit, routine audit, etc.

  • Support with AQL inspections as needed and collect data for reporting. This may include organoleptic review of finished product.

  • Support with securing non-conforming finished product samples as needed for supplier follow up.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Family Foods, operations and manufacturing team to identify root cause analysis and resolve quality issues, as well as process improvement.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to audit program, i.e. quality control procedures or automating processes.

  • Manage special projects as assigned.

  • Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a Food Science or related discipline is preferred.

  • Must have at least 2-3 years of progressive work experience in an FDA and/or UDSA regulated environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze situations and make sound decisions.

  • Additional Responsibilities

  • Proficiency with use of MS Office is required.

  • Ability to learn and understand all components of QMS.

  • Ability to learn and comprehend all components of GS-128 barcodes.

  • Ability to learn and understand all components of Oracle software.

  • Language Skills

  • Fluency in the English language required.

  • Must have excellent oral and written skills at a technical and general level.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the supply chain within manufacturing, customer locations and corporate environments.

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Mathematical Skills

  • General math skills

  • Must be able to read, create and analyze process charts, graphs, and logs.

  • Must have a thorough understanding of statistical analysis.

  • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable motorist history required.

  • HACCP certified desired or be able to successfully complete a certification course.

  • SQF certification desired or be able to successfully complete a certification course.

  • PCQI certification of ability to complete FSMA Preventative Controls Qualified Individual Course.

  • Physical Demands

  • Ability to work and stand in refrigeration for multiple hours at a time.

  • Must be able to lift overhead up to 30 pounds.

  • Must possess sufficient senses to perform effective organoleptic evaluations (corrected sensory ability is acceptable). This includes visual (acuity and color differentiation), olfactory, gustatory, tactile, and auditory ability.

  • Willing to travel

  • Work Environment

  • Must be able to work in both warm and cold environments.

  • Must be able to work in USDA and/or FDA processing environments (wet, presence of blood and meat juices, loud noises, various olfactory conditions, etc.).

Salary: $66,615.14 - $114,024.11 / year
