Position Overview

MVRCS is seeking dedicated and motivated Paraprofessionals to support classroom instruction. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in education, no prior experience is required, and comprehensive training is provided.

Paraprofessionals work closely with classroom teachers and school leadership to support instruction, reinforce behavioral expectations, and maintain a structured and productive learning environment. This role plays a vital part in helping students achieve both academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support daily instructional activities
• Assist with classroom management using school-wide discipline systems
• Provide support during group and independent work periods
• Reinforce academic and behavioral expectations, including attentiveness and engagement
• Lead small group instruction in areas such as reading, mathematics, writing, and spelling
• Monitor student progress and provide targeted academic support
• Assist with grading and help students revise and improve their work
• Support supervision during arrival, lunch/recess, and dismissal
• Attend required school events, including Back-to-School Night
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
• Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collect and analyze information to support student needs
• Willingness to learn and implement school policies and procedures
• Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Commitment to supporting student growth and success

Position Details

This is a full-time, annual appointment with a starting salary of $35,000.
