CNC Machinist

Our client in Northern California has an opening for a CNC Machinist with limited to no experience.

Keltia is a technical support services company providing Engineering Design, CAD Training along with Specialized Technical Recruiting services to mainly the aerospace and other industries in WA State, around the US, Canada and Europe. We have been in business 20 years in the US and 8 years in Europe.

Position purpose/core responsibilities:

Main Duties:

You will be responsible for operating CNC machines using existing programming to produce tools and parts to dimensional requirements.

CNC Machinist Job duties:

  • Run CNC programs to produce tools & parts to dimensional/tolerance requirements.
  • Perform proper setups, and alignments, to perform tasks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to equipment.
  • Follow Standard Industrial practices for working with composites & other materials.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of material properties & characteristics.
  • Working knowledge of composite materials.
  • Ability to interprets blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of various measuring gages: micrometers, pin gages, dial indicator, screw pitch gage, height gage, and comparator stand/gage.

Basic Qualifications & Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • No CNC Machining experience necessary.
  • Any hands-on acceptable.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills and ability to establish objectives and specify the strategies and actions to achieve these objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple duties, set priorities and follow tasks through completion.
  • Capable of working in an environment in which demands and priorities change.
  • Organized, self-motivated, strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Able to work to written, and verbal instructions.
