Christ Community Lutheran School has an opening to join our Early Childhood Education team as a Full-Time Assistant Teacher in our 1's Room. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for toddlers and preschoolers, including older one-year-olds and younger two-year-olds. As an Assistant Teacher in our ECE program, you have a direct impact on precious little ones... as well as young, new parents and even whole families.

1's Assistant Duties
Assist lead teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children
Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
Assist with diapering, feeding, and other basic care needs
Use technology for professional development and communication with parents and team members
Collaborate with lead teacher and other staff members to create a positive and supportive team environment
Stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
Schedule
Standard full-time hourly schedule is 8:15 a.m. until 5:15 p.m.
Total working time: 40 hours per week
Start Date: Immediate
Annual Cycle: position typically runs August 1 through June 1 (ten months)
By default, June and July are off work (no duties/no pay)
Summer employment also available (optional)
Requirements
Associate's degree or higher preferred
Experience working with toddlers and preschoolers
Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with others
Passion for teaching and working with children
Alignment with CCLS mission and statement of faith
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly pay rate $16.00/hour ($17.00 if Bachelor's degree completed)
