Job Title: Quality and Sanitation Supervisor Location: San Jose, CA (On-site) Assignment Type: Contract Duration: March 9, 2026 – June 2, 2026 Shift: 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Shift A) Hours: 45 hours/week (5 hours OT expected) Pay Rate: $42.27/hour Position Summary The Quality and Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for ensuring execution of the plant’s Quality Management Systems, Product Evaluation System (PES), and Quality Action Review (QAR) processes. This role supports food safety, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement initiatives, and audit readiness within a food manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Quality Systems & Compliance Ensure execution of quality systems, SOPs, and SOC compliance. Oversee plant hold system including traceability, release, and destruction of held products. Maintain compliance with HACCP and quality documentation standards. Ensure quality accountability across all hours of plant operation. Support foreign material and metal detector compliance programs (if applicable). Product Evaluation & Continuous Improvement Lead execution of PES and QAR processes, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Analyze consumer complaints and quality data trends; drive improvement initiatives. Review quality-related production paperwork and critical-to-quality variables weekly. Support Quality Loss Write-Off trending and reduction efforts. Audits & Documentation Support internal, customer, and third-party audits. Maintain document control and quality documentation systems. Oversee Certificate of Analysis (COA) program and continuous improvement efforts. Cross-Functional Support Partner with R&D and corporate teams on product development and quality initiatives. Train employees on quality processes and ensure consistency across shifts. Engage daily with supervisors and employees to ensure effective Quality Action Reviews. Identify risks and escalate issues impacting plant performance. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or related field. Experience 3–5 years of experience in Quality & Food Safety required. Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred. Project management experience preferred. Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
