Title- Mainframe Application & Infrastructure Architect
Location-Remote
We're seeking an experienced Mainframe Application & Infrastructure Architect to design and deliver enterprise mainframe solutions while helping clients modernize, optimize, and reduce the total cost of ownership of their environments.
In this role, you will:
Design end-to-end mainframe application and infrastructure solutions
Assess existing environments and recommend modernization, automation, and optimization strategies
Develop architecture roadmaps, migration plans, and solution designs
Partner with application, infrastructure, operations, and cloud teams to deliver integrated solutions
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting technical recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders
What we're looking for:
10+ years of mainframe architecture or engineering experience
Strong expertise with COBOL, CICS, DB2, IMS, JCL, z/OS, VSAM, MQ, batch processing, scheduling, storage, security, automation, and monitoring
Experience with mainframe modernization, performance tuning, capacity planning, resiliency, and cost optimization
Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills
Preferred:
Mainframe modernization (rehost, refactor, API enablement, DevOps, hybrid cloud)
ServiceNow ITOM or similar ITOM platforms
Architecture or mainframe certifications
