Job Description:

ITEC has an immediate need for a full stack data developer. The individual will:
<\/div>
  • Engineer both the front end for user to interface and the back end for processing and data storage
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Engineer solutions for continuous integration/continuous deployment pipeline and for scalability to meet surge demands
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis on new sources of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) data, creating discovery opportunities for optimization of AI and ML applications across the enterprise in support of operations
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Continually research current and emerging ISR capabilities as well as data technologies, proposing changes to continuously improve space operations
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Create, maintain, and track the design of data pipelines utilized to streamline data ingestion, scale data streams, and develop predictive analytic products
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Work with developers and ML engineering staff to ensure standardized process, scalability with local teams, and monitoring and maintenance of operational metrics
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Collaborate with external DoD and IC groups to facilitate data collection, cyber security compliance, and inter -agency communication
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Collaborate with cross -functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, network engineers, and software engineers to understand data requirements and develop scalable data solutions
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure the timely and accurate movement of data from source systems to data warehouses and other storage solutions

    Requirements<\/h3>
    Education:
    <\/div>
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field<\/span>
      <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      <\/div>
      Experience:
      <\/div>
      • Proven experience as a data engineer or in a similar role with a strong track record of designing and implementing complex data pipelines
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Expertise in Python, Flask, Javascript, React, Django, ComgoDB, Kubernettes, AWS cloud computing, and Linux terminal environment
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Expertise in Linux systems administration and information assurance within a DevSecOps environment
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Deep understanding of Linux operating system principles, notably Linux distributions such as Red Hat or CentOS
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift and AWS services
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Familiar with container security scanning procedures and remediation within CI/CD pipelines
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Experience within network architecture and TCP/IP protocols within Linux environments
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Experience managing documentation and code in Git Lab
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as SWD, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with cloud -based data services
        <\/span><\/li>
      • Effective communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non -technical stakeholders 
        <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

        <\/div>
        Desired Skills:
        <\/div>
        • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Possess previous space experience at the operational/theater levels (e.g. Combatant Command, Joint/Combined Task Force, Component)
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Experience with data orchestration and workflow management tools is a plus
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Understanding of DevOps principles and practices related to data engineering is a plus
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Possess experience in supporting USSPACECOM, AFSPACE, NAVSPACE, MARFORSPACE, or SMDC/ARSPACE operations and/or exercises
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Experience working on classified networks and interfacing with military staff at the operational and strategic level
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Security+ certification
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Machine learning experience and/or artificial intelligence experience
          <\/span><\/li>
        • Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks 
          <\/span><\/li><\/ul>
