Responsibilities
• Case assignments: General, Ortho, GI, Urology, GYN, and some Vascular
• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department-Responsible for the medical management of patients undergoing surgical and procedural care-Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluations-Obtain and/or verify patient consent-Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and care plans with patients-Oversee induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia-Monitor patient physiological status throughout procedures-Must be comfortable managing own cases independently
Requirements
• Schedule: Flexible Team Physician-led anesthesia team within UCI Health network
• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency
• Board eligible or board certified preferred
• Active California license (or ability to obtain)
• Strong clinical competency across general case mix
