What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and dispense medications per physician orders, adhering to policies and protocols
• Interpret drug orders accurately and maintain complete patient medication records
• Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including sterile and non-sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition
• Issue controlled substances following legal and institutional standards
• Monitor patient drug therapies for contraindications, interactions, and appropriateness
• Assist with pharmacokinetic and renal drug dosing support
• Provide clinical consultations and drug information to healthcare staff
• Maintain current pharmacist licensure and attend staff meetings
• Supervise pharmacy support personnel and verify their daily activities
• Support medication safety, quality improvement, and stewardship activities

What You Need:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS Pharmacy degree
• Texas state pharmacist licensure
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required; PALS preferred
• Hospital experience strongly preferred
• Strong pharmacokinetics and neonatal medication knowledge is a plus
