What Youll Do:
Prepare and dispense medications per physician orders, adhering to policies and protocols
Interpret drug orders accurately and maintain complete patient medication records
Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including sterile and non-sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition
Issue controlled substances following legal and institutional standards
Monitor patient drug therapies for contraindications, interactions, and appropriateness
Assist with pharmacokinetic and renal drug dosing support
Provide clinical consultations and drug information to healthcare staff
Maintain current pharmacist licensure and attend staff meetings
Supervise pharmacy support personnel and verify their daily activities
Support medication safety, quality improvement, and stewardship activities
What You Need:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS Pharmacy degree
Texas state pharmacist licensure
BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required; PALS preferred
Hospital experience strongly preferred
Strong pharmacokinetics and neonatal medication knowledge is a plus
